SCX Corporation, under SC Asset, Joins Forces with IHG to Create a New Premium Hotel Landmark in the Heart of Bangkok, Preparing to Open “voco Bangkok Siam” in 2029 and Further Strengthen Its Recurring Income Portfolio

SC Asset is expanding its recurring income business portfolio by assigning its subsidiary, SCX Corporation, to continue strengthening its hospitality portfolio. The company has signed a partnership agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts to launch “voco Bangkok Siam,” a 350-room premium hotel in a high-potential location in the heart of Bangkok, near BTS Siam. With an investment value of over THB 2.2 billion, the hotel is scheduled to open in 2029.

The project is expected to become another key driver that strengthens the group’s business, reflecting SC Asset’s vision of collaborating with world-class partners to generate stable income and drive sustainable growth in the future.

Mr. Nuttaphong Kunakornwong, Chief Executive Officer of SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, or SC, revealed that the company continues to create strong and sustainable growth opportunities while creating value for people and the environment. This is being achieved through the expansion of recurring income property businesses, or Engine 2. By 2029, the company aims for recurring income property profit to account for more than 20% of total profit, while expanding its hotel business to more than 2,000 rooms.

Most recently, SC Asset has assigned its subsidiary SCX Corporation to sign a partnership agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop “voco Bangkok Siam,” a THB 2.2 billion hotel project. The hotel will become the fourth property in the company’s portfolio and will be located in the heart of Bangkok, opposite Siam Discovery and near BTS Siam. It is scheduled to open in 2029.

“We want travelers to have memorable experiences and to feel inspired to return to Thailand. That is why we chose the Siam Square location, which offers exceptional convenience. It is close to BTS Siam, the city’s central hub and a key interchange station for Bangkok’s mass transit system. Guests will be able to walk from the hotel to eight shopping centers within a 1.5-kilometer radius, including Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and MBK. At the same time, we chose to partner with IHG to bring voco, one of the fastest-growing premium brands in its portfolio, with its distinctive identity and attention to every detail, to deliver an outstanding stay experience for travelers,” said Mr. Nuttaphong.

The new hotel marks the announcement of the second voco brand development plan in Thailand and will become part of the rapidly expanding global voco hotel portfolio. Currently, there are more than 100 voco hotels open across 25 countries, with more than 95 hotels in the development pipeline. Guests will experience the brand’s distinctive hospitality under the warm and welcoming “come on in” concept, from a smooth and convenient check-in experience to special treats inspired by local culture, allowing guests to begin their stay and fully enjoy moments of relaxation in comfortable rooms.

voco Bangkok Siam will be a 28-storey building comprising 350 rooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness center, rooftop swimming pool with views of the Bangkok skyline, and meeting rooms for business travelers. Guests will enjoy convenient access to Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK Center, and BTS Siam Station.
